neighbor's birthday. I took pictures just because,
but in this one, there appears to be a horse of
fire."

The details of a horse are amazing... but
we still feel it's simply an illusion. Very nice though! |

Paul writes,
"The photo attached was taken by a mobile phone camera 2
weeks ago in a bar in Glasgow, Scotland. It was only meant
to catch the banana in the pint of lager as it was a
practical joke on a friend. There were other customers at
the far end of the bar however, there was nobody serving
behind the bar at the time it was taken.
At first it looks like a fault with the captured image but
seconds later it was taken again to reveal nothing. After
e-mailing the photo to my PC I managed to enhance the image
to reveal what looks like a figure standing behind the bar.
I originally thought the arm belonged to my brother but his
arm was nowhere near the glass.
Is this a camera fault or is there another explanation???
What I don't understand is that the figure isn't as solid as
the arm in the photo. I have submitted this to a few sites
who seemed genuinely interested and impressed although I
don't know if this was just so it could be used on their
website. Looking forward to some sort of explanation as the
staff and customers are intrigued by it.

Staff comments: Its a
live person behind the bar. Most likely the bartender. She
moving, thus, creating motion blur. Case solved. |

Sara writes,
"Attached are two photos that were taken in the spring of
2004, in an old cemetery on the historic Natchez Trace
Parkway in middle Tennessee. The Natchez Trace is an old
route that goes from Nashville, TN to Natchez, MS. I think
it is at least several hundred years old. President Andrew
Jackson was known to travel this road to MS. Please review
the pics and let me know what you think. We immediately
noticed the light human figure in the background of the
first photo and three figures on the right side of the
second photo." |

Staff comments: The
distance & sunlight create an illusion that the people in the
background are ghostly...but that's simply not the case. |

Staff comments: The
transparant boy is created from a combination of a slow shutter

Walid writes, "I
live in Nice, in France. I like very much your website and
Today (12/20/2004), I have a numeric camera and we were in a
friend's room with some friends. I took a lot of photos and
when I was in my home, I remark that one of those photos was
weird. A head of someone or something like that, was crying
or.... I don't know. It's very surprising and very
frightening." |

Christen
writes, "1st pic I am sending you is of my son
playing in his dinner, I thought it was funny so I
took a picture, but at the top of the picture some
weird little fairy like thing showed up. My first
thought was a bug, but if it was a bug I would have
seen it flying around the kitchen. Picture taken
with a FujiFilm S3000 Dig camera. If you zoom in, it
looks like it has wings, little legs, and arms... I
thought it was cool.

Staff comments: We
think it looks cool too... but it's in all likelihood its a bug
caught on film. |
