NICE TRY!!!
Dan writes, "Here is the bogus ghost picture. I was in St.
Louis for a Science Fiction convention themed around Mystery Science Theater
3000 (one of the all-time great shows, in my opinion) back in 1999 or 2000.
Anyhow, it was taking place at the Henry VIII Hotel near the airport. The
hotel has since been torn down. I was goofing around with my digital camera,
as I was having a hard time getting a good picture with the lighting in the
hotel. I centered in on the painting in the background. As I was about to snap
the picture, the guy you see in the picture walked in front. He said
"Sorry." But after looking at the picture, I told him that was
perfectly all right, as it made a boring picture of a painting into an awesome
picture!"

Photos in this section are the ones that did not pass our test. We're not saying
they are deliberate fakes but in our opinion, photos in this section (Nice
Try!), are most likely camera flaws, developing errors or in some cases,
deliberate manipulation. In other words, they look great but we're not qualifying them as ghost
photos.
