Human figures within the picture

Close-up

An even closer look - The man's image on the
right appears to be behind the post, and the
man's head on the left appears to be behind the 4X4. Characters with dimension
like this points to the credibility of the photo but we can't completely
rule out a double exposure.

Another Ghost Pic!

A viewers comment from the GS message
board
To me, the picture looks
very clearly like a double exposure. The clarity and detail of the images makes
them a little too good to be true. Behind the two men you see what looks like a
sign that doesn't look like part of the trench background. If they were true
apparitions there would be no background. Based on their attire they appear to
be WWI German POWs. The man on the left has what appears to be the letters P and
O on his shirt or jacket. If they're German POWs then the lettering is
consistent with the standard military practice of painting the letters POW or PW
on their uniforms to identify them as such. The cap worn by the man on the right
unmistakably resembles the WWI German army field cap with its two cockades (the
round insignia devices) and colored band.
