Hello, my name is Marco Wilson. My wife and I recently moved to a new home and after spending the last six months decorating took many photographs of the home. When the pictures were developed we were shocked to find that nearly all of the photographs were distorted, sometimes in severe ways where the pictures were completely indistinguishable. This was very strange since the lighting was proper and the camera we had used just days ago when we visited the Madame Tussaud's in London. However, there were a few pictures which developed properly but there was one that instantly caught our eye.

In the picture I have sent you you will see a floating, ghostly image. The camera film was new so it is impossible that a photograph was taken over another. Also, in all of the pictures we took there was no one standing in the images, we were purely taking pictures of the house to send to some relatives who live in America. I found this extremely strange, though I let it slip my mind, passing it off as a coincidence or something. However, it was about three or four weeks after we got the developed photographs back and my wife had a friend over who has lived in the village since she was 8 years old. My wife casually mentioned the photograph in a light-hearted way but this lady was very interested in seeing it and when she did see it she got extremely upset. My wife immediately called me on my mobile as I was out playing golf with a couple of friends, she told me that she had some disturbing news and so I made my way home to see her. When I reached the house there was another lady there who I did not recognize. My wife's friend introduced me to her as her friend who had also lived in the village for years. They went on to tell me about a story of a family who lived in the house in 1979. The story went something along the lines of a 16 year old boy dying in the house under suspicious circumstances. I was at first in denial but what the ladies told me played on my mind for days after. I ended up doing some research into it and found that there had been three other accounts since of supposed sightings of 'Daniel'. Although none of them had been caught on camera there had been claims of disturbing behaviour in the house; objects disappearing or moving unaided, creaking and noises in the loft, and also one account described a woman walking downstairs in the middle of a night to get a drink and seeing a figure in the kitchen. The woman screamed and ran to the other room, locked herself in it to call the police. When the police arrived at the house they found no one in the house and no evidence of anyone breaking an entry; all of the doors were locked and none of them had any evidence of being tampered with. I found this all very disturbing. In fact, me and my wife have sworn that if we encounter any strange behaviour we will seriously consider putting the house up for sale, even though we fell in love with it the moment we saw it.

I thought you may like to share the story/picture with other people. I was always skeptical of the existence of ghosts and always believed them to be a myth. This, however, has changed my opinion on the matter completely. Even now I feel a presence in the house. I know I am not alone in the house, even though I am currently the only physical being occupying it since my wife is away on business. I am fairly sure of it.
