Whoever you are,
I am 10 and this is my parents email, I’ve been looking at your
web site and couldn’t figure out how to send a story without
becoming that group, I am home alone and dad told me not to do
anything that asks me for my email address or might cost us
money we don’t want to pay. I am not sure if I should send this
story to you this way but I want to send it in anyway. My name
is Nikki and I am not allowed to tell you my last name.
Here’s my story:
I went to Mexico when I was four for the second time, my parents
wanted to take the long way and visit places not only in Mexico,
we were driving for 6 months. I had a dog back in Victoria, and
I missed him a lot. When we got to Mexico we were going to stay
there for 4 months, so dad said I could adopt a cat for that
time and give her away when we went back to Canada. I adopted
the smallest sickest kitten at the SPCA there. I named her
Runner. We stayed and then gave her away to some of our friends.
A little while after we got back we had a fax from our friends
saying Runner had died. We had lived in Vancouver then and after
a while we moved to 100 Mile House. We moved 2 times after that
and then back to 100 Mile House except in a different house. On
my 7th birthday I had 6 or 7 friends over for a sleep
over, we played truth or dare and told ghost stories. Mom then
came down and turned of the lights. We still talked but we were
all in our sleeping bags now all in a row. My friend nearest to
my closet kept staring at it and another of my friends asked
what she was doing, she then asked me if I had a cat and never
told her. I said no but that I had once, and why? She said there
was a cat somewhere in our house and told everyone to be quiet
and listen. When everyone stopped talking we could her purring
and my dog lifted his ears. We checked all over the house and
looked out all the windows, but there was not cat. And as
everyone started to go to sleep I saw a white cat, only for a
millisecond, that looked like Runner.
