Chee writes, “I have encountered heaps of Ghostly things on Christmas Island. I find it one of the most haunted places on earth. No joke, wait till I tell you heaps of my true stories. Christmas Island, which is situated in the Indian Ocean which is under Australian Territory. Recently when I came back from studies in Perth, Australia. A couple of friends and I started to go crab hunting on the Island, and in order to get there you must have a 4wd car or a Bike to go onto the gravel road track. We left the meeting spot at about 11.30am and reached the dales at about 4.30pm and we started to viciously kill the crab and plants for fun and bring some back to eat. Well, on our way back from the dales (which is situated at the other side of the island), it started getting pretty dark and gloomy and the gravel road had turned into muddy slippery ground, which made it even harder to ride on, never the less we went on. Then suddenly to the side of my eyes I saw this Dark green Glowing thing, hovering about a meter off the ground, so we just tried to ride faster but the road slowed us down, and so on, until we reach a certain point and it was close to a Chinese God temple, then the dark green glowing thing disappeared, what we saw next was a freaking ghost man, and like about half way there we heard loud giant foot steps running beside us on the road crushing down the trees in it path, it was freaking scary, we were like did you guys heard that, we looked to our left and right but saw nothing except trees and branches just falling down being crushed by something enormous. We eventually arrived back home safe and told this monk about the incident and he said that the giant footsteps you heard were a giant ghost which was living by the sea side, but about 40 yrs ago a settler who came here heard the same thing and told some monk from Indonesia to come to tell it to live in the forest (where we encountered it).  He said that if you had seen the ghost you all would probably be dead now, because last time a man had seen this ghost it freaked the living day lights out of him. It is said to be about three stories tall and really skinny. And the Glow thing we saw was a Malay Devil. When we had encountered this ghost it was because we had disturbed them and we were killing nature for no apparent reason."
